Two one-day workshops will be held on October 21, 2004.

  • Preparing, Recruiting and Retaining Health Professionals in Rural Areas.

    This multi-professional pre-conference workshop will focus on innovative programs created to prepare health professionals and initiatives that are successful in recruiting and retaining health professionals for rural areas.

  • Doing Rural Health Research Using Secondary Data Sources.

    This pre-conference workshop focuses on using secondary data to study rural health issues discussing the “why”, “what” and “how” of doing rural health research using large databases. Databases located at Statistics Canada, CIHI, Health Canada and provincial ministries of health will be used as examples.
